Kirkonranta port ​in Valkeakoski, Finland

 

Valkeakoski is among the first cities in Finland to deploy public WiFi and security cameras through wireless technology embedded in streetlights. Strong collaboration with the city and the internet service provider, Seclan Oy, was key to this success.

Reliable public WiFi and safety for visitors are top priorities for every port. To enhance this, the port of Kirkonranta has decided to deploy public WiFi and security cameras across the area to prevent crime and boost digital inclusion. A cost-effective and time efficient solution was needed.

The Solution
