Carrefour optimises shopping experience with circular lighting

Carrefour, Oostende, Belgium

Carrefour is committed to sustainability, circularity and an enhanced shopping experience. With energy-efficient and circular lighting from Signify, CO₂ emissions are reduced whilst also creating a welcoming atmosphere for customers.

"Signify provided me with a great illustration of circularity. They transform recycled Zip water bottles into beautiful 3D printed light fixtures, which serve as my store's flagship product when it comes to circularity."

- Karen Pollet, Manager, Carrefour Market

Customer Challenge

Carrefour was looking for a sustainable and customer-friendly lighting solution that would create a warm atmosphere from car park to retail space, while reducing CO₂ emissions and energy consumption. In addition, circularity was an important aspect, with a focus on recycled materials in the store design.

The Solution

Signify provided an energy-efficient and circular lighting system that aligns with Carrefour's sustainability goals. The lighting in the car park ensures a secure and welcoming environment, while inside the store, it highlights the products effectively.

A highlight of the project is the 3D printed fixtures, made from recycled Zip water bottles. In addition, Signify supported Carrefour with expert advice and a lighting plan that saves energy and optimizes the customer experience.
